Yakkity Yak...Don't Blog Back

I know that you're not supposed to back-stab or back-bite. Back-tax is negative. Back-hair...well, I don't even think "Hair Club" wants that on their commercials. So, is it okay to back-blog?

Honestly, I don't really back-blog. However, I have been thinking about it. Is that bad? It isn't that sooo much has happened during my hiatus away from blogging. It's more that I have a few things that I want to write about and I don't want to write 5 entries for the same day, nor do I want to write a novel in one entry.

Blogging's hard.

The Bermuda Triangle

I don't know how I could have forgotten. I don't know why I let it slip my mind. Perhaps it's because the stars have finally aligned bringing together song, smiles, and glittery goodness. On July 20, 2008, my good friend Jen and I are finally going to be in the same building as the legend...

A-hem...

Mr. Neil Diamond

I'm frankly unsure whether Jen and I will make it out of the concert the same people. I feel like we'll get in there, Neil will come out from the floor of the stage in a poof of smoke and laser lights. His sparkly shirt will catch the gleam from Jen's smile and the light from my eyes...electricity...lightning...and poof, we'll be transported into another dimension of song, sideburn, and skipping (because you HAVE to skip when listening to "Forever in Blue Jeans"!)

So, if you can't find me after July 20th...you'll know what happened!

Stick a needle in your eye...

My good friend Whitney Houston once sang...where do broken hearts go? Some of you may be wondering where did Rachel Lee go? Yeah, I stink at the whole updating of the blog. Right from the get go I put it out there...I'm no good at "on time". Punctual is NOT my middle name, it's "Jean" (which I believe is Swahili for "really late"...unless you ask my mother, who is ALWAYS a little early. She's a bit of a weirdo! Just kidding, Mom). So, updating my blog regularly is about as likely as Ron Paul winning this fall (sorry Ron, but when it comes to this election, the bell tolls for thee).

So, updates on life, love and the pursuit of liberty...no happiness...the American way...the American dream...dream catchers...Catcher in the WHATEVER?! Forget it, you know what I mean.

Where do I start? I'd like to spin the wheel...

Let's talk life - specifically MY life. "When last we left our hero" I was going through some really fun medical tests, which were no fun, painful, and of no use to you, me or the guy next door (who I might add is a jerk who likes to pound on the wall at 8:00 while I'm on the phone. Seriously, don't all adults stay up until after the 10:00 news? And no, in my book the 9:00 news isn't the same thing.)

Anyhow, my husband took me to the acupuncturist last summer while suffering from the grand-daddy of migraines. I was blinded in one eye from the pain, my stomach felt like it was doing loopity-loops, and my head felt like Quasimodo was up there yanking away at the church bell ropes (SANCTUARY!!!!) I took Excedrin Migraine. I took my prescription medication, Imitrex. No good. Oh, 30 minutes on the table with needles in my head and hands...the migraine had dissipated to a completely tolerable "who's wearing too much perfume?" headache.

Time warp forward one year, I'm back at the acupuncturist. I've gone three times in three weeks. He has determined that my organs aren't communicating with one another and that I have adrenal gland issues. He said to continue going to the doctor, but that he would help my organs communicate with one another and would help me to heal. Last time I saw him, he said things were looking good. Am I healed? Probably not. Do I feel better? As the Kool Aid guy would say "Oh Yeah!"

I'm not planning on running any marathons or climbing Everest, but I am feeling better. Hey, I even went through the training session for the exercise room at the company gym today. Will I use it during my lunch hour? Probably not...(I don't want to be the gross sweaty girl all afternoon). However, it's a good direction.
